Preperation for Meeting of the minds
Chap 31: Revolution, Rebuilding, New challenges
The twenty-first century brought about hope for most individuals. It was the start of a new era and hopefully the end of most conflicts. This hope was crushed in the very beginning. 9/11 made the U.S loose all hope for peace in the world. Their are many problems during this century so far and some even reflect back to the 20th century. First of all problems such as global warming, pollution and terrorism have hit an all time high. The problem that reflects back to the 20th century is genocide. After the Holocaust, the united states had promised that it would never allow this monstrosity to happen again, yet it is still occurring in Sudan. Many mistakes of the 20th century are reflected back to those of this century. For example the war in Iraq is sometimes seen as a double of the Vietnam war during the 20th century. Many problems face our nation and our world today and we, all countries, must come together in order to fix them.

Chap 31: Revolution, Rebuilding, New challenges
This painting was created by Avtandil Makharoblidze from the Republic of Georgia. Avtandil's impressionists style is revealed through this painting out on the town. The light and harmony in this piece brings about a poetic feel to the observer. The woman looks confident in both her posture and in her body language. In all of his paintings, Avtandil shows human beings as being beautiful. During the 21th century, although there were challenges, there were also many up sides. People were feeling better about themselves. More people went out at night and the women showed confidence in their attire and in their attitudes. The 21th century brought about confidence in many young women and Avtandil chose to show this confidence in many of his paintings.
